We enjoyed our stay at Donna’s Diamond So Much! We celebrated our 12th anniversary here. Everything was perfect. We will be back! Thanks so much for the hospitality.
Loved our stay here at Donna’s Diamond. Can’t get over how pretty scenery is! We spent two days at Biltmore and one at Chimney Rock. We will definitely be back!
Had a wonderful stay in the mountains. Our views from the cabin were awesome, enjoyed the grounds and took in the mountain air. We hope to be back soon!
Wow! Willow Winds has far exceeded my expectations! Loved the setting, the cabin had all the accommodations we needed. This was a girls weekend & we hate to leave so soon! Loved the fire, being outside and hearing the beautiful water fountains and the hot tub was so relaxing.
Will definitely be back!
First I want to thank my wonderful wife for finding and playing our trip to Tracy’s Twin here at Willow Winds. I can’t imagine a better place to celebrate a 40-th birthday!!
Everything from the Biltmore to the fishing pond was a treat. This has definitely been a vacation to remember and one to repeat very soon! Thanks Asheville see y’all soon.
Oh Wow!! Came here to Willow Winds not knowing what to expect….and was really, really pleasantly surprised!!
Came up here to see the Biltmore Candlelight tour (we’d all seen it during the day ~ really different at night ~ Beautiful!!) and to relax.
We loved sitting on the deck listening ~ just listening…and at night building the fire then relaxing in the hot tub.
What a wonderful, well taken care of place ~ will be recommending it to all back in Raleigh ~ and oh yes We Will Be Back!!
Wow! Even more beautiful than the pictures! We only had a short time to spend, but everything was wonderful. We felt so at home. This was exactly what we needed. Hated to leave. Hope when we come back we have more time to spend. Loved Asheville, Biltmore, the Bistro and most of all Tracy’s Twin.
We had a wonderful time kicking off the 2012 holiday season!! The cabin was a perfect home base for all our adventures. Our 3 year old daughter especially loved all the outdoor kiddo activities. Thanks for the memories!
What a week at Willow Winds! First trip here and we absolutely will be back! Everything was perfect….from the rounds to the cabin to the staff! Caught lots of fish….yummy! Had a great time in town too! Perfect place for our family of 24!
What a great cabin! We have been to Asheville many times but have always stayed in hotels. So glad we found Willow Winds on the internet! Loved having supplies on hand and finding the cabin inviting and clean! Very comfortable bed! On our next trip to Asheville Willow Winds will be our home away from home!
From the first moment we stepped into Cora’s Pine it has been nothing but delightful. Our girls weekend has been full of laughter & porch sitting. We were surprised to se a blue heron on the property. As we explored the Willow Winds property we came across many beautiful fountains tucked here & there. Dinner at Corner Kitchen was awesome! Trust the staff’s recommendations. Especially the white chocolate bread pudding. Needless to say this is the first of many stays with the Wonderful Willow Winds cabins! Thanks so much!
Vacation is when you have nothing to do and all day to do it.
Another year – another week- So many pleasures did we seek.
After enjoying a week of epicurean feasts all of our jeans plead for release ~ And the Food!!!
Luella’s BBQ ~ for exceptional Bar-B-Que!
Red Stag at Bohemian Hotel ~ for ambiance and food!
Pisgah Inn ~ Mountain views, rustic setting, and country cooking.
Bavarian ~ good food, good beer , good German atmosphere.
Chestnut ~ the new place in town at 48 Biltmore ~ it’s a Keeper!!!
The Moose Café ~ at the Farmers Market for home cooking that can’t be beat.
Games and DVD’s galore ~ Peggy and Jane exercising on the floor!
A roaring fire ~ crackling and bright with laughter and reminiscing every night. The hot tub helped each ache and pain. We almost felt like kids again!
The splendor and beauty of this special place ~ brings warmth to the heart and a smile to our face.
To Hell with the Mayans and their prediction of December twenty-one, We’re coming back again and again for much more fun!
We saw bears. Real, live, wild bears. So Exciting! We don’t get those sort of animals in South London!
We leave stress behind ~ relaxation we hold dear.
But something is very different this year ~
We usually all sit together reading good books ~
But this year everyone looked down at phones & nooks.
On Friday we drove to see Davis and Katy’s new Home.
Then high-tailed it over for lunch at 12 Bones.
Then we danced with the statues at the Arts & Crafts show,
John spied a wood vase and just couldn’t say no.
We’ve been dying for apples since we arrived,
So over to Hendersonville we decided to drive.
Visiting Granddad’s this year was quite a shock,
For now it has turned into a big commercial shop.
As usual we ate lunch at Mike’s on Main
Unfortunately the food just wasn’t the same
Next year we’ll be looking for someplace new
Where the food doesn’t taste like an old leather shoe.
Then we looked down Main St. and saw a big mob
We thought surely a politician was drawing the crowd,
We learned they were filming a reality show about getting a date,
We’re sure glad we already have our magnificent mates!
Then off to Dupont Forest we drove
To see High Falls on a leisurely stroll
We saw some poor doggies limping on rock
And got the idea to invent dog hiking socks!
Our week at Willow Winds is now over
Our laughing a feasting is done
But we look forward to October 2013
Next year promises even more fun!
Fantastic Cabin ~ Fabulous Customer Service! Lovely & close to everything cool downtown! Thanks for a wonderful visit!
Enjoyed our stay very much! Everyone went out of their way to accommodate and make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. Southern Hospitality at it’s Best!
What a hidden gem this place is! From all of the lovely touches ~ the welcome basket to the fully appointed cabin ~ we had everything we could need for a fantastic stay. We especially loved all of the details ~ pond, fountains, sitting areas, bocce, and outdoor chess set. No matter how you slice it Willow winds delivers in a big way and we will be sure to come again!
Thank you Willow Winds. We absolutely loved our stay in your cabin. Everything was perfect! More amazing than any hotel or chain we have ever stayed at. We loved all of the attention to detail!
Wow, this was a wonderful time in the city of Asheville!! The cabins was very cozy, the entertainment was great, and the food was out of this world. We came with another couple that is like our family and we said we will make this our annual couples trip. We thank you so much for the hospitality!!
Thanks Willow Winds….See you next year!
Have returned for our 2nd stay at Willow Winds.
We can’t say enough about this beautiful place.
Cabins are elegant & very clean with every amenity ~ including wonderful bedding, views & hot tub!
Close to downtown & accessible to everything ~ yet removed from crowds. The ultimate peaceful sanctuary!
Hiking the trail everyday is awesome ~ what a great bonus!

Our weekend escape with good friends is now going to become an annual event!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Willow Winds. This was our first getaway since having our first child 18 months ago and it was much needed. The cabin was perfect! We will definitely be back! Thank you!
Came to Willow Winds to escape the hectic city life and celebrate the hubby’s 30th birthday. We had a wonderful stay and wish we could have stayed longer! Sophia’s Sapphire truly felt like home J I am proud to say that I have never started a fire ever in my life and I leave here a fire master! We will surely be staying here in the future. Hubby wants a rematch on the life sized chess board back behind the office building!
We hope this place never has an empty night and keeps the next tenants always warm by its fireside. Best Wishes!
The Willow Winds will pull us back this way again soon. I believe we have found a new tradition. If Asheville alone didn’t have enough to offer, this place surely puts it over the top. Cozy, calm and perfect for cuddling. We had surprisingly warm weather and loved every minute of it! Thanks!
Our visit is slowly coming to an end and we are dreading it. We had a wonderful time in Asheville. Thanks for the hospitality and the very home-like setting. We enjoyed shopping, cooking and fishing. Thank you for everything. We will Return. I even called Donna’s Diamond ~ Dora’s Diamond during our stay here . My two sons especially enjoyed the grounds. It’s nice to have activities for the children to do at close proximity to our cabin. Thank you. We hope everyone’s stay is as enjoyable as ours!
Home Sweet Willow Winds! We return for a spring retreat to see the Festival of Flowers at Biltmore. Beautiful!!! We enjoyed bike riding at Biltmore, the farm at Antler Hill. Our grandson, Conner, Loved the swings & playground here at W.W. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!!
WOW! What a way to spend our 20th wedding anniversary. We spent our first in Gatlinburg but I think Donna’s Diamond and Willow Winds is the greatest. We’ve been back to the mountains a lot over the years and love it each time. So lucky we found this place! The privacy was great the peacefulness was second to none. Love the cabins and really hate to go home. We will be back in the fall. Thanks for a wonderful place.

A lovey, charming place to spend the weekend. Gracie's Willow Was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday and 19 years together! Willow Winds, with it's beautiful bustiling stream and the Biltmore in it's awesome grandeur made a most memorable weekend. Thank you!
Another wonderful stay for us here at Willow Winds. We enjoyed our alone time here away from our busy life. Missed having the kids here but we will be back soon with them. This has become our home away from home. We love the peaceful surroundings here and the staff are superb! Plan to be back soon. Enjoyed the Biltmore Estate and the weather was fabulous! Thanks for another wonderful stay!
I was excited by the pictures on the website ~ but Thrilled when we got here! What a great place. It felt like a Home away from Home. Rob travels a lot for work and it was wonderful to come here and SLOW DOWN! Our 1 year dating anniversary will be Sunday and we are thrilled to come back someday soon with family & friendsThank you Willow Winds!
This was a belated anniversary present for us, well worth the wait. It was perfect !!! What a beautiful area and we love Asheville to begin with. We really enjoyed the Corner Kitchen and New Morning Gallery the most. We found a PF Changs a bit south, well worth the drive. This weekend could not have been any better. We look forward to a return visit.
Beautiful place ~ would recommend to anyone! Peaceful quiet retreat close to everything! Biltmore Estate is well worth the money. Could easily stay here for a week. Love it. Love it. Love it.
We enjoyed a very special Thanksgiving weekend here! Mary supplied us with LOTS of information. Fig Bistro was our favorite restaurant. Candlelight tour at Biltmore was lovely. Hope to plan our annual family reunion here in a couple of years. Delightful! Thank you!
What a wonderful experience!!
My husband chose Willow Winds as a surprise honeymoon and I couldn’t be happier! The hot tub was wonderful, especially with champagne and candles!! Also the Biltmore was a blast, Sandy Bottom Trail rides was amazing!! We did the 3 hour ride with a visit to the mine. Great views & fun finds! We will be back!
We have only great things to say about Willow Winds & the surrounding area. We decided on Asheville & Willow Winds as a mini honeymoon spot to get away & enjoy some peace & quiet. Willow Winds delivered! Chris’s Cabin is so rustic and quaint. Loved that it felt very clean. Bed was so comfortable, landscaping beautifully done. Loved the access to walking trails & quick drive to Biltmore & downtown Asheville. We will be back! Thank you also to the helpful staff. Thanks!
Loved Willow Winds, Perfect Setting, ~ truly comfortable accommodations. Asheville ~ Biltmore ~ a wonderful surprise. All in all a great destination vacation. We will be back!
We had a wonderful time! Thank you for everything! Enjoyed Asheville and the surrounding towns. Lovely weather and the scenery was great!
This was the perfect place for our honeymoon! Loved the cabin, hot tub, pond, waterfalls and fountains. It was a wonderful get away from the business of life. Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Asheville. This has been our 40th wedding anniversary this year. We enjoyed our stay in this tiny rustic cabin with so much love and admiration. We enjoyed the hot tub and rose gardens along with the beautiful water fountains! The quietness of everything and just being away from the city was wonderful! The flowers were beautiful and lasted the whole trip. Hope to come back on another Happy Holiday! Joy and happiness to all!!
Thank you for a delightful, restful, and thoroughly enjoyable stay! We enjoyed our neat and well furnished cabin. Loved the hot tub and made the most of the comforts and quiet of Willow Winds. Our trip to Biltmore was well worth the price, downtown Asheville is everything we expected it to be….and we got the experience the Friday evening drumming which make our stay that much more special. We would definitely return and will gladly recommend this to family and friends.
This was our first time at Willow Winds and we will be coming back! We celebrated our anniversary here and this may have to be our new tradition. Everything Willow Winds offered has been remarkable. It is very clean and well maintained. It was oh so quiet and peaceful. We loved the character of Chris’s Cabin. We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy Asheville. We will be back!
Beautiful & Peaceful. We’ll be back.
Take care of the bears!
We loved our short getaway. The cabin was beautiful and bedding was great.
The view of the fountain & garden was gorgeous. Very quiet & relaxing ~ exactly what we were looking for. Brought my walking sticks and hiked every day. This was heaven! Enjoyed the fireplace both nights as well as the Jacuzzi. We will definitely come back and we will tell our friends. The grounds are lovely, the cabin was very clean ~ we really appreciated this! Thank you Sooo Much!
What a hidden treasure! The grounds are beautiful and we love the fountains and English garden. The cabin has everything that is needed, which is rare. We are here with our grown daughter who has never been to Asheville and we are trying to cram in as much as possible. We will definitely be back to Willow Winds ~ we love it here and it is so close to downtown Asheville. The covered porch is our favorite amenity.
Absolutely Wonderful! The grounds are just beautiful. Mom’s Manor is so comfortable and relaxing. Thank you for all the extra touches to make our vacation terrific. We loved it!
We have vacationed at several cabins in GA & other areas and by far this has been the best experience. We enjoyed it all, from the hiking trail to visiting your downtown area. Your location has definitely been a plus for us since this is our 1st time in the area.
Thanks so much for your hospitality. We’ve truly enjoyed spending our 7th anniversary with you!
My husband fished for the 1st time in your pond. He was excited, even though his catch resembled a sardine instead of a trout. J
Shondria & Pierce
Our vacation here at Willow winds has been breathtakingly wonderful and comfortable. Very beautiful and relaxing. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to wake up. The beautiful scenic waterfall garden was relaxing and my husband did some fishing ~ caught three ~ while I read a book on the deck. We ate at Moe’s BBQ, shopped, had breakfast at Corner Kitchen. The hospitality was off the chain. This has been one the nicest places we have ever stayed and we are surely coming back. Especially to Mom’s Manor, perfect, cozy, and relaxing.
36 family members enjoyed a week long reunion here. Age rage from 3 ½ months to 70 years and there were plenty of fun things for everyone ~ both at Willow Winds and in Asheville! Ideal Place! Delightful Week !
It is our 10th year here at Willow Winds ~ that alone tells you how we feel about it ~ and Asheville !! LOVE our home away from home! Thank you Willow Winds for wonderful memories!!
Beautiful place, we really enjoyed our stay. We’re already planning our next trip. Thank you!
On the back porch overlooking the pond & the trees beyond thinking how quiet & lovely Willow Winds is. I love the large fountain just below us. The plate of water ripples & bends with the wind much like that of a creation of blown glass while being spun. We first stopped in downtown Asheville, before coming here and walked around town. Lunch at the Laughing Seed was fun & dessert from the Chocolate Fetish on Haywood Street was perfect. Try the “Ancient Delight” it is perfect…chocolate dusted with cayenne pepper. We always get a kick out of the street musicians.
Oh! The MTC Trail up the hill is an even more tranquil moment. Our son, Jake fished for hours at the pond. At 14 it is fun for us to see him engage in and be thrilled with simple pleasures. Thanks Willow Winds!
Wonderful week. Beautiful place. Enjoyed mountain trail jogging. A bear and 3 cubs strolled out of the woods and by the cabin Saturday night. We loved it all !!!
We had a wonderful time here at Willow Winds. Next time we will need to spend more time at the cabin. Beautiful surroundings and terrific customer service. We look forward to visiting again in the future
Thank you Willow Winds! We had the best time here. This is our honeymoon cabin and it is Perfect! We will be back!
My husband and I come here every year for our anniversary. This year was our third & each time we fall deeper into Love! Something about coming here just makes our love for each other grow. The times and memories we make here are priceless! We were lucky to be here for the first snow of the new year and it was beautiful. Nothing like sipping champagne in a hot tub while it’s snowing. The fireplace going while watching the snow falling is beautiful The cabins are always so nice and all the people here at Willow Winds are just AMAZING! Can’t wait till Next Year!
Our 1st visit to WW, a real treat on our 23rd anniversary. Perfectly sized space, fabulous fireplace and wonderfully restful. We are already looking forward to returning with the whole family. Do not miss the River Arts District!
Came up for a weekend to visit my Grandkids. This was perfect! Great location, so clean & nice. Why would anyone stay in a hotel when we can stay here! I’ll be back in a couple months for another grandchild “fix”!
Such a welcome change from the big city and much needed! The staff and grounds were amazing! We will be back! Our honeymoon was lovely. We hiked and did the Biltmore Estate! We also went on a Brew’s Cruise! So fun and worth the $45.00 per person.! Thank you for such a great memory!
Loved Andrew’s Attic & Willow Winds! Mom & daughter spending spring break in Asheville! Great weather. At recommended Reza’s. It was phenomenal. Butternut squash ravioli, try it. Fun shopping in downtown, not bad prices. Loved our stay!
This was our second trip to Asheville and our first time staying here. The cabin was wonderful and provided the peaceful get away we both needed. We will definitively return! The candlelight service at the Biltmore was beautiful and the ladies at the office were helpful with getting us tickets. The galleries and eclectic shops downtown were wonderful as always. We strongly suggest Rezaz Restaurant, the rib eye special was to fie for, pricey, but worth it. Barley’s is a good place for pizza and I suggest trying the mead.
"Little Piece of Heaven Nestled in the Foothills"
Not usually @ a loss for words but here's a few to capture the experience: immaculate, cozy, welcoming, imagine rustic log cabin with a view on to a small formal (English) garden and a nearby pond and fountain. Normally, photos tend to exaggerate a property's appeal, in this case they don't do it justice. The staff is extremely helpful & welcoming, yet you can withdraw into your cabin and feel as if you & your family are all alone in the mountains in the best sense of the word. Location also lends itself to feeling a sense of peaceful remoteness from the world, yet everything is in fact just a minutes away from everything worth doing in Asheville (the Biltmore, UNC Asheville, etc.). Will definitely be back.
We recently stayed at asheville Cabins of Willow Winds and I can't say enough about them. My husband and I brought our three children (ages 20, 22, and 23) for a "bucket list" vacation. We all loved it! The cabin was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and very attentive. They had recommendations, helped us map out our activities. They had a welcome basket. The location was beautiful. They had activities such as pop a shot, skee ball and more for the family. We will definitely return. It was one of the best experiences we've had. Great job asheville Cabins on Willow Winds. Highly recommended.
Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds: Who can you trust with your hard-earned vacation savings? My husband and I took a chance and hit the jackpot!Cabins of Willow Winds exceeded our expectations! Not only was the staff customer-sensitive, the cabinwas immaculate, well-appointed and a glorious welcomemat to an even more glorious landscape. All of Asheville is at your fingertipsbut you'd never know it...spent our morningsdrinking coffee on the deck overlooking oldgrowth forest and contemplating our nextrelaxing dunk in the hot tub. Not folks easily impressed.Suffice it to say, we couldhave stayed forever. Thank all the staff at Willow Winds.Sheri & Jack Miller
Perfect spot for a great family vacation!
This was our first trip to Willow Winds and will not be our Last! We came down to Zipline and found our new vacation get-a-way. The cabin was wonderful and the hot tub was very relaxing. The kids had a blast. Zach caught fish and Jacquelyn had fun with the water balloons. The Keaslers will be back!
Came here for Mothers Day weekend. We were at the Biltmore Estate all day Saturday! The house and the gardens were breath takingly beautiful! We ate lunch at Deerpark and it was delicious! We throughly enjoyed our stay here! It is cozy and has everything you would need! We will definitely come back here! How could I forget, the hot tub was awesome :-)
Enjoyed our stay very much. Cabin was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Very secluded, yet close and convenient. Had wonderful meals at Tupelo Honey Cafe and 12 Bones. We had an amazing dinner at Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway ~ Almond encrusted trout!!We love Western North Carolina and love to visit here. This was our first time to stay at Willow Winds but hope to do so again. When we visit this area we always widh we could stay longer. There are so many things to do and the mountains are beautiful. Go Spurs!!
Perfect location to do so many things! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Enjoyed a Wonderful Stay. Great place to relax and unwind, Always a pleasure visiting this wonderful place. Thanks for the memories!
This is the second time at WW and we loved it both times! Peaceful and scenic and definitely worth the price! We'll be back!
We are John and Emily from Kentucky. This was our first time at Willow Winds and we will be coming back!We have celebrated our anniversary here and this may have to be our new tradition. Everything Willow Winds offered has been remarkable. It is very clean and well mainatained. It was oh so quiet and peaceful. We loved the character of Chris's Cabin. We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy Asheville. We will be back!
What a relaxing, peaceful setting! We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here at Willow Winds. The accommodations were great for a one year old ~ plenty of space to play and much to explore ~ while leaving plenty of opportunities for tired parents to relax in the evening watching movies, sitting on the porch and enjoying the hot tub. We hope to return soon!
We are here on our honeymoon and it’s the perfect way to wind down after a fun (but busy) wedding! We arrived last night around 11 pm ~ hoped to get here earlier, but our car broke down in Knoxville & we had to get it towed & rent a car. It was the same car he picked me up in our first ate over 5 years ago! After all the craziness we went through yesterday we really appreciated this relaxed setting! We enjoyed the hot tub & champagne last night and so far today we’ve played board games, gone for a run, played at the park & relaxed. We never want to leave!
We are definitely not ready to leave! We’ve had so much fun here. It rained yesterday evening so we stayed nice & cozy in the cabin! We enjoyed playing horseshoes & tetherball during the day. Here’s a tip ~ stock up on microwavable meals & stir-fry bags from Walmart ~ it’s cheap & it’s so cozy to eat here! Today we’re going running in the mountains. Can’t wait to come back here many, many more times ~ hopefully with children someday too!
Such a peaceful atmosphere. Came with our kids ~ next time maybe just us! We loved being able to “chill” in the hot tub or “rock” out on the deck. Plus so close to other activities in Asheville. The perfect place to start our vacation!
We had a wonderful week here, wish it didn’t have to end. The cabin was everything we needed and so convenient to everything. We will make Willow Winds our home away from home when we visit Asheville again.
Thanks so much for providing a great place for our family vacation. So beautiful, so peaceful and great hospitality. We loved the cabins and will be back!
We had a great time here with only enough time to explore 10% of what this area has to offer. We will definitely be back. Don’s Den fit our family of 6 perfectly. Ton’s of things to do and see for the kids. The playground right out back was ideal and along with the big selection of movies for a cozy evening. And perhaps the best thing is having a 900 mile trail just steps away from our hot tub! Thank you so much!
Five girls -- Five Day Trip. Love the area, cabin and just haing fun girl time! Pines are filling the air with a wonderful fresh smell. Lovely spot to share a girlfriend trip or a family vacation. The grounds and water features a special addition! Five FriendsFive days Fora fun getaway from busy lives of these five wives. Biltmore--Mountains--Beauty GaloreThe cabins we all adore!
We can't thank you enough for the enjoyable week with all of our family for our 50th wedding anniversary. Everyone was awed by the scenery, amenitites and service. We will never forget it!
Dear WW,Thanks for the wonderful stay! We appreceate the hospitality and privacy! Our familiy enjoyed sites in the area; Chimney Rock, Mountain to Seas Hiking Trail, Horseback Riding, The Biltmore grounds & home tours, Drum Circle in downtown Asheville, and whitewater rafting, zipling, surfing at WildWater. We also ate at some excellent spots; Hickory Tavern, Rezaz's, Brixx, Jack of the Wood, amd Kilwins (a Michigan company). The cabin was perfect for our family of 5; including well stocked kitchen equippment, hot tub and location (unbeliveable views!) We can't wait to return for our 3rd visit in the future!!
Our family enjoyed staying at your lovely cabin. We had four families staying at surrounding cabins as we were in Asheville four our nephews wedding. It's so peaceful and beautiful here.
We had a delightlful, belated Christmas celebration; just us ladies. The cabin was perfect, made for relaxing conversations, beautiful views with everything we could ever need. Enjoyed the Biltmore, wonderful food, and SHOE SHOPPING! :-) Great memories made, a lifetime to enjoy them!
We hav really enjoyed spending our honeymoon at Willow Winds. This experience was very relaxing. Asheville was very fun as well. We will miss this place.
We came to Willow Winds for a weekend getaway with friends. We were so impressed by everything here – from the staff, to the grounds, to all the amenities.! Willow Winds paid attention to detail and it shows!
We spent a wonderful day at the Biltmore and had a great time here. We are already talking about coming back! Thank you!
Thais is our second trip to Willow Winds and just as nice as the first. So peaceful & relaxing – we could sit on the porch all day & just listen to the water! The highlight of our stay was watching a bear & three cubs wander to the garden & take a drink from the fountain – just amazing. Thank you for everything!
My Favorite thing I did was gem mining. I found a blue rock.
My Second Favorite thing was fishing even though we didn’t catch a fish.
My Third Favorite thing was seeing the squirrel.
We have been coming to Willow Winds for the past 7 years. We absolutely love Asheville and everything it offers. We did a lot of hiking in the backcountry of Grandfather Mountain and then hiked Pisgah National Forest. We also ate at a terrific German restaurant not far from here called Black Forest—it was so good….We went whitewater rafting in the Nolichucky River—amazing, Zip lined at Navitat---great staff. And Asheville we will see you next year.
This was a wonderful way to relax on our 22nd anniversary.
A bit of hiking, a bit of Asheville, & a bit of Biltmore—with a truly lovely cabin to come back and enjoy.
Husband and I had a wonderful time at Sophia’s Sapphire. The cabin was comfortable and cozy! Enjoyed all the amenities that were provided. Did not have a chance to visit restaurants but in all we still had a home cooked meal. Will love to come back and invite some of my friends to this peaceful relaxing atmosphere!!
Sophia’s Sapphire was Awesome! Everyone was really nice and we definitely used the fireplace. It was an awesome getaway and very serene. We enjoyed playing chess and ping pong.
We ate at “Neo’s” very eclectic southern Mexican. Enjoyed beers at the “LAB”. Biltmore House Rocked!! We’re here for our honeymoon and got our wedding album at the “Baggy Goose” in Biltmore Village. If you’re looking for Antiques check out “Screen Door”.
Wonderful visit to Willow Winds. We absolutely loved everything about the cabin and cannot think of one thing to improve this fantastic place. We wish the weather had been a bit warmer to have enjoyed the porch more but you can’t control that.
All in all a great stay at Willow Winds. We will be back!!
In spite of rain on all three days we have enjoyed our stay at Sophia’s. On Tuesday our Navitat zipline tour was cancelled due to rain. We ate dinner at Corner Kitchen. Nice place and close. Wednesday we tried the Biltmore House. The audio tour really helped us appreciate what we were seeing. Loved the winery tour and the blacksmith demonstration at Antler Village. We ate outside at Asheville Pizza & Brewery that evening. Today we went back to Navitat at 9 and we were able to complete our zip tour before it started raining. We highly recommend the Navitat Tour. On the way home we stopped at the Stoney Knob Café in Weaverville. Very unique and we loved our lunch. We picked up a movie at the office on our way back to our cabin. We enjoyed the rest of the day watching tv, reading and napping with a fire in the fireplace. It continued to pour rain so we didn’t even venture out for dinner. This has been a very relaxing retreat from work. We want to come back and do more hiking.
Once Again another Lovely Stay at Willow Winds. This was our 3rd visit and we Love It Every Time!
This was our second stay in Sophia’s Sapphire! We were here the same time last year. The Blue Ridge Parkway was closed, but we still went hiking off the trail at the top of the hill. If you go left when it forks, it is a lot better; We ate at Frankie Bones and would highly recommend it! The Highland Brewery has a tour that is free and a lot of fun if you are into beer! Mon – Sat, get there a little before 4pm. Great place for lunch & dinner is Brixx Pizza!
We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! See you next year Sophia!
Always, Krista & Matt
Splendid Find!Wow !! I hate to say how much I liked this property because it may be tough to get a booking next time. Awesome experience, these cottages are tucked away in a woodsy setting with beautiful landscaping, water and pond placement and so convenient, we were 5 minutes from great eateries, Biltmore, shopping and groceries. Linda checked us in upon arrival, she did a masterful job of explaining the amenities of the cottages, where to eat, where to shop for groceries, local attractions, etc. Everything was turn key, we stayed at Tracy's Twin, my wife said that the beds were the most comfortable that she has ever slept in. Spot on with this place, beats the hotel scene by a huge margin !
"Most fabulous place on earth" This was a beautiful cabin and location. Cora's Place is gorgeous. It overlooks the stream and woods. It was very clean, nicely appointed and we loved it. Bed was so comfortable. Kitchen was great. We can't wait to go back! Staff were the best! Very helpful!
Having the Best of All Worlds!
Our recent stay here exceeded all our expectations!!! Everything about our stay at Willow Winds contributed to the overall comfort, ease, and pleasure of our recent vacation. The cabin we rented (Chris' Cabin) offered a rustic setting with modern comforts. The cabin was well equipped and we did not want for anything. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and upon entering our cabin found a welcome basket of "goodies", lots of print information about the cabins and the area. Office staff were available, helpful and a great resource for information on area restaurants, hiking, markets, etc. The overall environment was rustic but well landscaped with beautiful fountains, a lovely pond for fishing and wooded places to walk. All this within 5 miles of Asheville where there is an abundance of excellent food, local craftspeople, art and music. Who could ask for a better place to stay??!! We can't wait to return.
We just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Willow Winds and it was the most wonderful experience. It was our 4th stay there and it is our favorite vacation spot. Love it!
My boyfriend and I decided to spend the weekend here celebrating our 6th month anniversary. As soon as we walked thru the door we were amazed at how beautiful our “Home away from Home” was! Everything we could possibly need was right at our fingertips! It is so peaceful here. Beautiful scenery! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub! The staff is awesome!
Wile here we drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, where we saw some wonderful scenery, a great panoramic view of the mountains that led to some great pictures. Warning: Have plenty of gas before going. We also visited the wildlife center and it was great! Pleases to eat: Cornerstone Restaurant on Tunnel Road. (Best ribs ever) and Ruth’s Chris in Biltmore Village. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will return. (Hopefully as Mr. and Mrs. Roberts).
This was my husband’s first attempt at going it alone with our 2 children since I was attending a conference. He knocked it out of the park with our 3 year old and 8 month old. Willow Winds made it easy with so many built in kids amenities. Our children had a fun time, while my husband and I enjoyed the fireplace at night. We look forward to coming back.
Sad to be leaveing after a long weekend that was everything we could wish for ~ romantic, peaceful, fabulous!Really enjoyed the fire and hot tub after a day in Asheville. So much to say, but really this was a great place to reunite with my man & country after being away so long. Hope to come back again soon!
You all get an A++++ for this beautiful facility. We’ve enjoyed the serenity of this place and would recommend this to anyone. All of the comforts needed are here. Best of all your staff are so friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a 37th anniversary memory that my husband and I will always cherish. Hopefully, we can revisit in the future! Best wishes and thanks.
We came to the cabin for my birthday this year. It was an amazing trip and I had such a wonderful time here with my family! We enjoyed wine by the fire and the beautiful scenery down at the Biltmore Estate. The Hot Tub was Great! :-)
This was our first visit to Willow Winds & was the perfect place to celbrate our 2nd Wedding Anniversary! Very Peaceful, Relaxing & Private! Loved the Mellow Mushroom & Texas Roadhouse. The grounds & the pond are beautiful! My husband enjoyed fishing! We love the Hot Tub & Will Be Back for more!
It's official! We love Asheville! The Biltmore, Tupelo Honey Cafe, and Province 620 were wonderful. Kathy's Kabin was also wonderful. A perfect getaway.
This was our second stay at Kathy's Kabin. It felt so nice to be here again at our little cabin. The weather was rainy but it didn't stop us from having a wonderful time. The highlight of our stay was visiting the Biltmore and spending time together snuggled up by the fire. This was the perfect setting for celebrating our delayed Christmas as my husband was overseas in Afghanistan for the last year. Would love to return in the spring to enjoy the gardens at Biltmore.
We had an amazing anniversary getaway here at Kathy's Kabin. The cabin is beautiful, peaceful and close to all the amenities. The staff is so warm and wonderful. Thank you!
This was our first stay at Willow Winds. A Perfect way to celebrate my husbands birthday and our third wedding anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to friends and family! We visited the Biltmore Estate on our visit ~ loved it.
We have ahad a wonderful time here at Willow Winds. We come every year to Asheville, but this is our first time here. Everything here has just been Perfect. Sitting in front of the fireplace with my husband has been so cozy. The staff has been so friendly and helpful in fining something to do off the beaten path. The Biltmore is breathtaking, as well as driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. One of our favorite thins to do is go to the antique shops. So many things to do here. We will be back this summer with the kids.
Just a quick note to let you know how much we loved our stay with you. Linda will tell you I creied when I had to leave. Our stay was fabulous from the beautiful cabin equipped with everything, to the staff in the office that will assist you with anything and everything to make your vacation great. Linda, Mary, and Pat are tops at what tehy do and we are already looking at dates for our next visit. Miss you all.
As native North Carolinians, we have travelled many times to Asheville. For years we have stayed in a variety of well-known hotels, inns and B&Bs. But never have we found a more perfect essence of the mountains' beauty than at the Cabins at Willow Winds. Secluded and surrounded by gardens, fountains, groves of trees and distant mountain views through the branches, our rustic yet completely modern cabin was the perfect haven. We can hardly wait to return!
Perfect spot for a family vacation!
Perfect Location! I would highly recommend Willow Winds Cabins to anyone who is looking for a place to comfortably relax!! Our stay was peaceful, our cabin was extremely well kept and the staff was terrific!! North Carolina has a lot to offer and we are excited about planning another trip to capture the sites we missed. Outstanding in every aspect!!!
The cabins were phenomenal, the staff was friendly and helpful, the scenery was serene and beautiful. Everything about our stay was perfect. The staff made sure we had plenty of everything and were so polite in giving us referrals to local attractions and restaurants and even gave us coupons for our meals!
A Five Star Woodland Vacation!
This is an excellent hidewaway nestled in the hillside comprised of individual cabins (actually small homes) surrounding a pond, beautiful greenery, and many water fountains. Two couples stayed in Dad's Digs, which had 2 bedrooms (a queen and a king bed), a hot tub, great deck with electric grill, and all the amenities of home (flat screen tv, digital dvd player, ipod player, spa bathrobes, etc). The furnishings and decor were as nice if not nicer than many of my friends' homes! We only stayed for 2 nights, but we still took advantage of their large selection of dvd movies and library (books), and they had numerous things for kids to play with (basketball hoop, etc). We were in asheville to see the Biltmore House, and it was less than 10 minutes away. The office had a notebook with menus from local restaurants and even offered coupons for a 10% discount for many of them. This is a family owned property, and it was a pure pleasure to deal with the owner & office personnel. We'd love to return one day.
Enjoyed a Wonderful Stay. Great place to relax & unwind. Always a Pleasure visiting this Wonderful Place! Thanks for the memories!
We stayed at Willow Winds for a week & loved everyday! The people who own & run Willow Winds are outstanding! Nice clean cabin, loved the hot tub, hammock, fountains and free movies at the office. Had fun at the game area and water balloon fight down by the pond. Before visiting palces, stop by the office, they gave us sevearl coupons to save mone on food and other locations. Fun Depot: good place to take kids. "Lazer Tag"Chimney Rock: made it to the Exclamation Point! Wonderful View!Biltmore: A must see! Do a behind the scenes tour, highly recommended. The Carolina Movie Theatre: one of a kind theatre, was a surprise!
Had a wonderful time, would love to come back!
FANTASTIC PLACE! Had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back! Loved the Hot Tub!!
We enjoyed our stay at Irene's Oak. It was very nice, peaceful & relaxing. We enjoyed hanging in the hammock & the rocking chairs. We loved that we were so close to downtown Asheville. Enjoyed our ride at Sandy Bottoms :-) !
Amazing cabin! You all definitely thought of everything. We had a wonderful time. It's beautiful here! Thank you!
You are close to reproducing paradise! Thank you for thinking of all our needs. We had a lovely visit and can't wait to return.
Couldn't have picked a better place for our first (but definitely not last!) visit to Asheville. Only wish we had stayed longer! Really enjoyed swinging in the hammock while the breeze blew, soooooo relaxing! We'll be back for sure.
My husband and I chose to visit Asheville for our honeymoon and were so happy with our choice to stay at Tony's Treasure. We had such a relaxing trip! The landscaping is wonderful and the cabin had everything we needed. What a wonderful place to stay to begin our marriage!
My Husband & I had a wonderful & relaxing time here on our 15th wedding anniversary. It was so nice and peaceful!Oh yeah we didn't see any bears.
With all of your help my engagement was more perfect than I could have asked for or imagined. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for appeasing my fiancé and being so kind a compassionate in obliging to the requests of my mom and best friend. We are so lucky to have such generous individuals in our lives. You truly made one of my life-long dreams come true. I couldn’t be more thankful!
Life- Long Willow Winders Grant & Mollie
It was fantastic here! Caught and ate trout from the pond! Delicious!! Fed Scottie and Sally Squirrel daily to kids screaming delight. Walked trails & explored ~ Beautiful!! Thank you! this cabin was fun, cozy, and full of laughter!!! We Love Willow Winds!!
We had a great time at Willow Winds! Caught fishFed the squirreland RELAXED!The Biltmore was outstanding! We will be back.
We had a wonderful anniversary celebration here this week. Everything was perfect! Loved the cabin, the quiet and the attention to detail that the staff here strives towards. We can't wait to return!!!
This was our first trip to Willow Winds. We came to celebrate our fifth anniversary. Tony's Treasure is just that. It is so beautiful and peaceful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!! Tupelo Honey Cafe is a must try!
We are so thrilled that we found this treasure so close by! This is the perfect remedy for a stressed out lifestyle. We love the peaceful setting and the quiet, the beautiful surroundings and especially the porch overlooking the fountain! We recommend the Mellow Mushroom in downtown Asheville - Wonderful Pizza!A wonderful break Willow Winds exceeded our expectations! Thanks!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. After a tough winter with serious family illnesses, thei was exactly what the "doctor ordered"! We especially appreciated the locatio, so close to downtown, the hot tub, and the proximity to the BR trail. The lanscaping too was beautiful to look at & so full of spring color. We fully plan to return here.
This is the restorative respite I was seeking. I plan to return and bring all my young adults for a festive holiday event.
Had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all taht Willow Winds had to offer. The trails and pond were beautiful. Had a massage and that was amazing. It was a much needed scenario to recharge our batteries. Asheville was an incredible experience and loved downtown and the Biltmore Village. Ate at Juilans and it was delicious! Weill definitely be coming back!
May 11th, 2012We had such a wonderful & relaxing time here. Thank you so much for giving us such a beautiful vacation. I will recommend you to all of my friends on Facebook!
We've been home for almost a week and ready to come back! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tracey's Twin. The accommodations were excellent and it was a very enjoyable and serene stay. We will definitely consider staying at Willow Winds again in the future and will highly recommend your cabins to our friends.
We enjoyed our stay. You offer all the comforts and privacy of a VRBO, but in addition, the services and on site aid of a fine hotel with a concierge.
Willow Winds Staff,Thank you for the amazing cabin. Your cabin and the services you provide made our stay in Asheville a memorable one. We will return!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Willow Winds. The peace and nature was just like our home. The décor was beautiful and the cabin was so well appointed, we wanted for nothing. The staff was so friendly and helpful as were all the people we met in Asheville. We covered a lot of ground. Thanks for a home away from home.

Truly a lovely location and accommodation. Thank you for sharing this spot with us. We are only here for 2 nights and certainly wish to come back and explore the area much further. Biltmore was definitely a full day excursion; worth the entrance fees. The fountains on your property are a nice touch. Your cabins in the woods are a true gem
P. S. I would recommend Willow Winds to all other Canadians visiting the area.
I Googled something along the lines of "Best Cabin in North Carolina" and I saw this place with a ton of great reviews. Thank you so much! God Bless you all! :-)
This was our 6th year staying at Willow Winds and every time I drive thru the gate I feel like I have come home! The peace and quiet is just what the doctor ordered. You have your own secluded place to do what you want when you want and no one bothers you. The staff are like family! Larry's is the cream of the crop there. It is at the end of the lane and not very many steps to climb. Just step from your car to the door. The thing I look forward to is a trip to the hot tub! I took advantage of the staff buying my supplies and having them in the cabin when I arrived. It’s the only way to go on vacation! This place is the ONLY place in Asheville you should stay if peace and quiet is on the agenda!
We enjoyed our stay at Willow Winds - wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin was very comfortable and convenient to many locations. The resort grounds are beautiful and we liked how you could hike right from the resort property. Our cabin had the bedrooms downstairs which we liked but others might not like going up and down the stairs. Great to have your own kitchen and washer and dryer!
Willow Winds is a peaceful retreat with all the amenities of home. Staff could not have been nicer. The grounds have peaceful areas to relax, playgrounds for all ages and a water balloon area which our daughter just loved. Location is close enough to any location you would want but excluded enough from any activity to truly escape.
We'll be Back! I stumbled on this rental on the internet. It looked too good to be true - but it wasn't! We absolutely loved the privacy, the surrounding area, the comfort and the quiet of this cabin. We did not want to leave! We had the most relaxing vacation of our lives - even better than the cruise ship a few years ago!
Seclusion in the city. Our second visit was even better than the first. It is just like staying at grandma's house sparkling clean of course but the little touches are perfect, done by someone who loves to have you come for a visit. The exercise room was very well equipped. Consider turning down the heat to about 65-67 as working out builds up personal heat so "comfy" isn't necessary.
Wonderful Visit and Stay!
Staying here was like home away from home! It was great to come home to a fire and a kitchen each evening. The hot tub made it very special. Everyone was so helpful and nice. Can't think of staying anywhere else when I come again.
We stayed for 9 nights in Kathy's Kabin. The accommodation was very spacious for two and had all the facilities we required. It was unseasonably hot so we only used the fireplace once and barely depleted the stack of wood left for us by the front door. There is a sense of tranquility here and the individual cabins seem to be well separated and screened from each other. Sitting on our deck you could reasonable convince yourself that you were alone in the forest most of the time. The staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodated every small request we made and dealt with all our questions. Supermarkets are 5 minutes away and downtown asheville itself little more than 10. We didn't use many of the facilities on site although could probably have become addicted to the Bocca ball, given time. There is an excellent range of film dvds available if you are having an evening in. In terms of things not to miss we would say the Blue Ridge Parkway - we explored both north and south of asheville and the views are unforgettable - and Biltmore Estate, which we had the fortune to visit during the 'azalea season'.
The owners at Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds think of all the little details that make your getaway very relaxing and stress-free. The cabin was roomy, clean, and had all the comforts of home and then some! The owners were helpful in recommending local places to visit or to dine. The surroundings of the cabin are peaceful and well maintained.
The grounds are lovely--flowering shrubs, a fish pond, fountains and a connection to the Blue Ridge Trail. Each cabin has a hot tub. The kitchen is well equipped and there's also a washer and dryer. Although the cabins are fairly close together, there's definitely a feeling of privacy and it's quiet. The office has a good video library and the people who work there are very friendly and helpful. It's convenient to asheville, the NC aboretum, the Craft Center and Biltmore Estates. This is our fifth year going to Willow Winds and we highly recommend it!
Best Vacation Rental in Asheville
Beautiful Cabins, wonderful views and great fishing! The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Wood brought right to your door. Best fireplaces ever!!! This was my second trip and our friends first. We hope to make this an annual trip.
Wow! I fell in love with Willow Winds; it was "love at first sight!" We were welcomed to a community of 25 cabins, all luxuriously but rustically accommodated. We walked into our cabin, Michael's Hideaway; it looked just like the representation on the website. It was a total sensational retreat! A sight for sore eyes. My teenage daughter loves it every time we come back. Everything a person could need or want was provided at the cabin. Amenities included free DVD's, hot tubs at every cabin, decks with electric grills, outside recreation, Internet access in every cabin, and a totally cool can of rich butter cookies as a welcoming gift. Groceries will even be provided for your cabin at your request. Staying at Willow Winds offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful, soulful retreat back to nature and/or a 5 minute trip to downtown Asheville where the action is. With the gorgeous mountains as a backdrop, wooded areas, streams, and woodland flowers, this place is second to none in terms of the reclusiveness and reconnection with nature it offers. On the other hand, if one is in the mood for enjoying the arts, music, restaurants, and Bohemian culture, then a short trip to downtown Asheville is the place to be. Since our first stay, we come back to Willow Winds on a regular basis throughout the year. We try to come during different seasons to enjoy the beauty and the changing of each season. Staying here is a wonderful way to destress from the normal comings and goings each day. It is perfect for families, couples wanting a romantic break, and even coming alone - which can be a good thing. You are right in Asheville within city limits, but yet it seems so far away. Staying at Willow Winds of Asheville comes with my highest recommendations!
We had a memorable family vacation at Willow Winds!! Found you on the well done website and we were pleased with all of the extra amenities that Willow Winds provided ~ from delicious “Welcome Cookies” to flashlights for evening walks in your beautiful woodland gardens….Thank you to the office crew for your warm hospitality to parents and children alike. Hope to return someday!
I found Willow Winds on the internet and fell in love with it through the pictures. The reality is even better!
This is our first visit to Willow Winds and Asheville and I can’t imagine one without the other. We came with our two kids ~ ages 11 mo. & 3 & ½ and one of the best parts of staying here was how much there was for them to do onsite! It meant we could relax and not feel like we had to provide something to do all the time. I am sad to leave but so happy to have found this place. We all look forward to our next trip.
Wow! I selected the best place to bring my friends from the Netherlands to visit!
We found that we had a home away from home. Even a newspaper! So much to do in so little time. I will be back.
Thank you for helping me to make a great memory. We all loved relaxing in the hot tub. Huge hit of luxury and comfort!
Verdant forests with scenic features
Full of God’s own wondrous creatures
Bubbling brooks and gurgling fountains
All a part of these mystic mountains
We truly enjoyed the time we spent here
Sharing “Dad’s Dig’s with friends so dear
We’ll carry fond memories of this visit to Asheville forever!
Willow Winds has been the perfect place to bring our family to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It’s our first time here. There’s something for every age! Our grandchildren and grown ups loved bocce, water balloons, and the other games.
With two cabins side by side everyone had lots of room. What a relaxing and beautiful setting!
We are from Little Rock, AR and our friends from CA. We met here and had a fabulous time. I knew we'd like the place even before we arrived because of the exceptional assistance and advice provided by your staff online. Every question was answered promptly and thoroughly. We will be back!
When we first arrived, we parked and went into the front office. We were greeted by a kind lady that gave us all kinds of great info. She gave us our key and we went onto our cabin at the top of the hill (Toms Trophy). They have discount grocery tags on the key rings, which I thought was awesome. We got to our cabin and open the front door and the pictures on the website don't do this place justice. This was the cleanest establishment I have ever stayed at. They had wood on the front porch for the fireplace, electric grill on the back porch and the Hot Tub was hot and ready for action. The bed rooms are located downstairs, along with the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. They even had i-phone docking stations upstairs and downstairs, Plasma TV upstairs in the den with cable. I was really surprised with all the electronic items in the cabin. Thumbs Up Willow Winds. We Thank you for relaxing and peaceful stay!
We will definitely be back. Sorry it took so long to respond. Everything was perfect and can't wait to be your guests again. Thank you for making us feel like home.
Thanks! Our son and his new wife love Willow Winds, and so do my husband and I. We have always needed a nice cabin to stay in and enjoy Asheville, so it is a great break from our work routine in Cary. Maybe the kids will keep this up long after we are gone!
We always notice how nicely yall keep up the place....everything we need is there, and the firewood on the porch is wonderful! it was the first fireplace for our new daughter in law from China, and she adored it, too. We don't have one at home.
We ate in the Library at the Biltmore Inn, Cucina 24, and Doc Chey's again and loved all three; others should like those places, too. We bought annual passes to the Biltmore for the four of us after our first visit last May, and are thrilled that we could use them twice more this year.
We visited the Rivers Arts District twice and had a lot of fun browsing the galleries.
Can't wait til our next visit sometime this summer. Holler if you need anything in the Raleigh area, Gray and Gerhard
What a lovely place to stay!! We had an amazing time. The cabin was clean, well equipped, and we all enjoyed the comfy beds. We've stayed in cabins before, but never one that was so well equipped. You thought of everything. We hope this will be the first of many stays at Willow Winds. Thanks to the staff for making this an ideal vacation. The two lovely ladies in the office were kind, helpful and just great.
November 27, 2011My small family in recent years has made a tradition of going away for Thanksgiving. Disney, Outer Banks, and now Asheville.
This is the most wonderful place to stay. The cabin is huge and has everything you need to spend a few relaxing days. The fireplace was the extra touch. We explored downtown, went on a food tour, went to the Biltmore one evening, and had Thanksgiving at Deerpark. Last night we went on the Polar Express. What a fantastic time.
This is definitely a destination that we would return to. Any season would be fine. Thanks for a Wonderful Vacation. The Holmes FamilyMount Olive, NC

We have had a wonderful time here at Willow Winds. We come every year to Asheville, but this is our first time here. Everything has just been Perfect. Sitting in front of the fireplace with my husband has been so cozy. The staff has been so friendly and helpful in finding something to do off the beaten path. The Biltmore is breathtaking as will as driving the Blue Ridge Parkway…..so many things to do here. We will be back this summer with the kids!

Happy New Year!!!
Great accommodations, great cabin and excellent hospitality. We felt like it truly was a “Home away from Home”. Nice touches with linens, wood for fireplace, etc.
Talk about providing guests with A to Z! With laundry detergent, fabric softener, to tissues, extra towels, and DVD’s for entertainment.
High speed internet and the King size bed was large enough for my wife, myself, and our 2 yr. old son…..We will definitely be back next year again in December. Pat, Linda, Mary & Sandy all are excellent women.
November 11, 2011
We never stayed at such a wonderful Cabin!! This time we had two days, Next time would like to stay at least one week.
Dupont State Forest is great! Especially “High Falls” and “Triple Falls”
Thank you Willow Winds
We have been amazed since we drove up!! The cabin is very comfortable, clean, and Home-y!!
We were impressed with the little things like dish soap, laundry soap…things we didn’t have to buy!
Love the atmosphere and felt like we were the only ones for miles around once we walked into the cabin. Loved our Stay!!
October 11, 2011
I will definitely come back.
I loved it here.
So peaceful and luxurious as well.
Keep up the great Job!
January 1, 2012
We had a great time at Willow Winds!
Caught fish, fed the squirrel, and RELAXED.
The Biltmore was beautiful, Moes BBQ was outstanding!
We will be back
December 19, 2011
Our stay has been wonderful! I couldn’t think of a better way to spend our 20th anniversary! The trout pond was excellent and the fat squirrel was a delight. We will be coming back! Thanks!
October 17, 2011
What a beautiful day! My husband and I spent 2 nights at Kathy’s Kabin – BEAUTIFUL and VERY private! We needed to stay one more night to visit with my husband’s brother and his family who live nearby and were very fortunate that Mom’s Cabins had a vacancy. Sooooo, we switched cabins and when we walked thru the door, Moms was Just as Breathtaking as Kathy’s!
The beautiful beams on the ceiling are so impressive! But to top that was the view from the balcony out the back door! The gorgeous “English” type garden, the pond and fountain, THE TREES with their beautiful fall colors and the gorgeous American flag in front of the waterfall!! Thank you for all of this!
October 14, 2011
We had a great time enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Willow Winds is a wonderful place to stay. We hope to come back soon. The people, the pumpkin patch display, the fat squirrelsJ, the fireplace, etc. All too Wonderful. A great change from South Florida.
The four of us came for some much needed rest and relaxation….an alternative reality…We were not disappointed!
We will miss....
*The sounds of lighted fountains
* The flock of bluebirds
* The bellowing of bullfrogs
* The butterflies’ on crape myrtle
And the many hours spent laughing and sharing a few family secrets and stories.
Three Cheers for Sisters!!

Thank you all for the use of this wonderful cabin. It brought peace and serenity. I found it odd, since it was on my dad’s birthday, that the cabin is named Dad’s Diggs! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
God Bless You,
November 20, 2011
We absolutely love this cabin and this area. Willow Winds is so beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the hiking & game room & we even made a fire in the fireplace. It was a novelty for the kids!
We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful Cabin!
Willow Winds is a beautiful, peaceful, & very relaxing place to stay. We really enjoyed our walk around the grounds and watching the playful squirrels chase each other around our deck (and also peeking in the door window!). The gardens and fountains are beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here this past week. So many things to see and do in and around the Asheville area. More than we could see or do & we would love to come back and see the sites we missed. But staying at Willow Winds is a Must!
Thank you to the staff here at Willow Winds. Everyone is so friendly & helpful and always smiling!
Thanks for a memorable vacation!!

Another beautiful holiday here at Willow Winds. This is our 4th trip here. We were actually in the same cabin on Oct 2009. It's not just a home away from home...it has now become our HOME! We feel so relaxed, so at home, and so, so very comfortable here. The weather has been perfect for us. We enjoyed the one day rain, the autumn colors are at it's peak this time. Everywhere we go we say to each other "Wow Look"!! We continue to love Willow Winds and will be back again.
Our second trip to Willow Winds - stayed in "Tracey's Twin" and now "Cora's Pine". Enjoyed this year just as much as last year. We are already looking forward to coming back next fall.
Can't say enough about how nice the cabin is, the staff, and the premises. We are so close to town and lots to do, but yet feel very secluded. The view from the deck and the fountains never grows old!
We will definitely be back!!
This is our 8th visit to Willow Winds!! We obviously love it here. We have done everything...zip lining, White water rafting, Hiking, Biking, and eating at great restaurants. Make sure you spend time in the cabin. It's so easy to go, go, go. However, its so peaceful here and everyone should make time for that.
Peaceful fountains and hammocks, Peaceful rocking chair porch time, Peaceful romantic nights with the sparkle of the fireplace. Good Times!!!
Nice Place. Really enjoyed our stay!! Saw three deer one day and two the next. Tried Tupelo Honey Cafe -- Yum. Overall just a very nice enjoyable fall trip.
Our 2nd stay at Cora's Pine. Back for another week of laid-back pure joy! We love cooking our food in this cabin and enjoy the view of massive trees, scenic pond and sunset lighting from our balcony. Willow Winds makes sure our stay is special by providing a clean place to stay, easy connection to internet, and a multitute of things to do around the premises.
As Naples, Fl is a beach paradise, Willow Winds is a Mountain Paradise. We are lucy to have found this place and will continue to come back.
This was our 5th visit to Willow Winds. We normally stay at Andrew's Attic. However, due to changing work schedules, we had to move our October reservation up a month, and Larry's Lodge was the only cabin available. We found Larry's to be just as nice as Andrew's. We will have a tough decision between the two cabins for our next visit....Thanks to the staff at Willow Winds for making this such a great place to visit. John and Christine,
We loved it here. The hot tub, the fireplace, hammock, comfy bed. And it's in a perfect location. We will be back with friends!, Kelly, Stu and Avery
We wanted a quiet, relaxing getaway in the woods with maybe a trickling stream nearby. Saw the ad for this place in N.C. Travel Guide. We called at the last minute... and fortunately there were two cabins to choose from. We picked a Winner! So pleased just like home without the hassles of home.
After walking around the property, it looks like Lady Luck was looking out for us. Loved sitting out on the porch; wonderful breeze; fountain nearby (to replace the stream). Everything's so comfy, clean
We came back to Asheville to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The first time we had a week, just the two of us. But this time Hurricane Irene had other plans for us.
Our time here at Willow Winds was wonderful and I agree with all other guests' comments about the staff ~ very pleasant & helpful.
We went to the Biltmore Monday & Tuesday ~ first day the house, second day the winery...... Definitely worth the two day pass.
On Wednesday we went up to the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mt. Mitchell ~ Highly recommend this journey.
Thursday ~ our anniversary ~ we came to the decision that we would have to leave a day early to head back to Virginia Beach to prepare for the hurricane bummer!
Good news is ~ generators are readily available here and we are returning with two!
The Hot Tub, the Scenery, & The Privacy.....
All & all we had a wonderful week and we have discovered we enjoy taking off for the week with just the two of us!
Kathy & Jim
We came here for a short getaway from our home & faily in Michigan and we've had a wonderful time. The Willow Winds property proved to be all that it had promised and then some. We hope to return with our kids sometime. Asheville was a lot of fun too -- very different from what we're used to. Our favorite eatery was Jack of the Wood's, We tried the Scotch eggs, some local brew's and the Sheppard's pie...all accompanied by some very talented bluegrass musicians.
Thanks Willow Winds for a great place to stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Willow Winds. And as promised, the weather was beautiful. As peaceful and beautiful as Willow Winds is in March, we can only imagine the beauty of the place with the flowers in bloom and leaves on the trees.
We will surely recommend this place to others coming to the Asheville area.
You are so blessed to have such a wonderful retreat. Thank you for sharing it. It is a gem & a wonderful place to relax!
This has been one of the best experiences. We joined our friends Chris & Amy for the weekend and we have had a blast. The hot tub was fabulous. It started snowing.

Thank you for a fantastic visit! We were rained on and snowed on but we didn't care because we watched it from the hot tub. It was a wonderful getaway and we definitely hope to return.
We found this wonderful place looking online. When we saw it we knew this is where we wanted to come. Beautiful scenery, cozy cabin, & hot tub!
We have really enjoyed our stay. Cabin is one of the best we have stayed in. The goodies in the tin and fridge was a nice surprise for us. Everything is Welcoming!!
We will gladly tell our friends of our stay & visit here. We enjoyed waking up to snow dusting on the ground. It felt like Home. Thanks!

What a great retreat! This is our 4th visit to Willow Winds ~ We Just Love the calm, peaceful atmosphere. Mikes Places is soooo wonderful. We'll be back next year. Thanks to the great staff who have been so helpful on our visits. Please keep up the great work!
As with our past six visits to Willow Winds, we have looked forward to coming back all year. March 20 marks our 7th wedding anniversary and there is no better place to spend it than at Willow Winds!
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely, well equipped comfortable cottage.
Wonderful to be so secluded and quiet ~ yet so close to shopping etc.
Such comfortable beds & pillows, a very important item indeed!
The grounds are lovely; even in early spring ~ love those fountains! Our thanks to Pat & Linda for being so friendly & accommodating.
Our first visit to Willow Winds. Thanks to special friends Robbie & Faye for making this trip possible. We have truly enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful place with lots of places to visit. We love the cabin, it was wonderful. We will never forget our stay at Willow Winds. We hope to visit again. Thanks!
We spent 4 nights at Sophia's Sapphire. What a wonderful, well cared for place. Willow Winds is a great place for Rest & Relaxation, all of the amenities are well thought out. We would love a return visit!
Dinner at Medesto's & Downtown Asheville. The lovely floating notes of the alto sax from the street corner and dining alfresco were the best of this experience.
The Biltmore House. A thought provoking glimpse of a magnificent and almost incomprehensible life style from 1900.
The Grove Park Inn. In approach right out of German fairy tale, a view of valley and distant mountains and a brunch that is an epicurean's delight.
* Take it all in ~ live in the moment and don't let it go by too fast before you realize just how lucky you are to be right here ~ Right Now.
To many more stays at Willow Winds!
Second trip to Willow Winds with the Love of my Life. Never fails to be the best place to reconnect and fall in love all over again. I will always cherish this place in my heart. Don't want to leave!
Carol & Bob had a wonderful time in Asheville and especially at Willow Winds. I highly recommend reading the coffee table book in your cabin before starting to see the area. We enjoyed Biltmore, particularly the Gardens and Winery. The Farmers Market on Saturday. Breakfast at Corner Kitchen and dinners at Fiore's, The Market Place, & Frankie Bones.
The property and natural landscape at Willow Winds is sooo relaxing & the cottage is well appointed and comfortable. Walking the areas hills was a little difficult for us Florida flatlanders, but enjoyable.
We found Willow winds while researching for our 2nd annual girl's trip ~ three sisters and our wonderful mother. We had a wonderful time at Beautiful Biltmore! It was nice to come back to "Mom's Manor" and relax. We loved the pond, fountains, and hot tub. After a day of walking it was a nice retreat.
Thanks for a most relaxing and memorable atmosphere to enjoy time with my sisters and mother. We Loved It!!
Comfortable and Home like.
We had a great dinner at Rezaz's. Of course the Biltmore was amazing. We took the Architecture tour.
Thanks for Everything!
Well, you've done it again!! This was our second visit to Sophia's Saphire, and it certainly won't be our last. This house and this city have a magical way of letting you forget about the stresses back home and just relax, find yourself and remind you and your love exactly what is important in your lives. We had a fabulous time in the drum circle downtown Friday and dinner at Jerusalem Gardens. Saturday kicked off with breakfast at Tupelo Honey, then a 3 hour canoe trip down the French Broad through the Biltmore Estate. We highly recommend this as it was 3 peaceful hours of nothing but nature and love.
Saturday night we did the Brew's Cruise which was a fun way to learn about and drink local beer, but even a better way to make some fun friends for the night. Today, Corner Kitchen and bike rides! This place really is heaven!
Sophia's Sapphire is our favorite place to get away when we want to go "off the map" and just spend time together. We fall in love more and more every day because of our special getaways and it reminds each other that this is what's important in life.
Sophia, we'll see you again soon!!

One of our best vacations ever with the Willow Winds cabin being part of what made it that way for us!
Drove the Blue Ridge Parkway one day to Blowing Rock, a long drive but breathtaking views all the way.
Went to the Folk Art Center another day ~ lots of local art, jewelry, & crafts.
Went to Billy Grahams Training Center at the Cove & if you are a follower well worth seeing the beautiful grounds, chapel, & history of Grahams life.
Did Biltmore Estate another day ~ Incredible! A lot of $$, even with the discount here, but it really something to see!
Downtown Asheville is great ~ lots of music, shopping, interesting restaurants. Tupelo Honey was a favorite ~ we went twice. The French Broad Chocolate Lounge on Lexington was another for their signature hot & cold sipping chocolates and other exquisite desserts & truffles in a very laid back atmosphere.
Went to the stadium for a ballgame downtown. The Asheville Tourists play there regularly ~ Lots of Fun!
Went to UNC Asheville and wandered the lovely grounds and botanical gardens there ~ nice.
Hiked the beautiful Blue Ridge Trail (Mountains-to-Sea) right in back of Willow Winds ~ it is beautiful!
Went to Barley's ~ some great pizza, which is cheap, delicious, and can be had by the slice. Mo's BBQ, Luella's BBQ, 12 Bones Smokehouse ~ all very good!
The daily hot tub (and we really have never been hot tub people) was sooo relaxing! One of the best parts of our stay here.
We also loved the hammock out back, playing ping pong, air hockey, basketball, etc for free down at the office.
Pat & Mary could not be nicer! And everything in this cabin is exceptional ~ we want to live here!
Thank you, and we hopefully will be back ~ We've told our friends already!
This was our first visit here and we love it. We hiked the trail up the hill, went to Biltmore and saw downtown Asheville. The accommodations have been quiet, soothing and comfortable. Thanks!
We had originally planned to spend our honeymoon at one of the "fancy" hotels in the area. We saw WillowWinds online and when we got here we knew we'd made the right choice. A second home with a return visit in the future.
May 19-23, 2011
ANOTHER GREAT TIME! Thanks!
Also we enjoyed the "comforts of home" with very comfortable mattresses & bedding. Thank you! I also appreciated the diversity of the trees & plants growing here at Willow Winds. A very "enchanting" atmosphere has been established. Thank you!
Staying at Greg's Cabin at Willow Winds proved to be a great choice. I loved having my green tea in the morning on the outdoor balcony looking out at the Tulip trees and listening to the sounds of the fountains. The location was perfect: close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Downtown Asheville, and the Airport. There is so much to do here in this beautiful and majestic landscape!
Great Trip. Cabin had everything we needed. Will recommend Willow Winds to our friends! Thanks Pat!
Wonderful ~ the weather, the accommodations, the scenery!
We will be back.
What a wonderful find this place was!! We trusted the internet and were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful these cabins are!!
Our trip was a family reunion of sorts. We will be Back!!
Beautiful setting, very peaceful & relaxing. The cabins and grounds were immaculate. Landscaping & water features were outstanding. Convenient to Asheville attractions. Will sure recommend to friends. Staff was very accommodating. Hope to return.
We had a great time!
You have a beautiful place. Keep it going until we come again!
I'm sitting on my favorite rocking chair on the large covered porch ~ looking down the grass hill, past the herb garden to the lovely fish and fountain pond, surrounded by thick trees of every description including two of my favorite ~ Weeping Willows.
The grill is heating; waiting for the lamb chops I bought at the Farmers Market this morning.
I enter the living room with the high ceiling, stone fireplace, leather couches and rocking chairs; which many years ago was a one room cabin.
Sunlight filters through one of the long glass sliding doors which through the other I see my hammock waiting for me.
I'm home again; "Pat's Place" is mine.
We spent our honeymoon here; this place has made for the best honeymoon ever!
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The grounds here are gorgeous! Biltmore is a must to see, Chocolate Fetish truffles were amazing...worth the money. Also Luella's BBQ was amazing ~ get the sweet potato appetizer...yummy!
We will be back!
