Walk out of your door for a hiker’s paradise— We have trails that are in the top ten in the US for hiking. People drive from great distances to hike the Appalachian Trail and the Mountains-to-the -Sea Trail. The Mountains-to-Sea Trail is North Carolina’s premier hiking trail. It stretches 1000 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains to the Outer Banks stopping at beautiful places like Asheville along the way.  For our guests at Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds it is not necessary to drive anywhere. They need only walk less than 100 feet from our property to be on one of the best hiking trails on the east coast.

This hike is about 11.4 miles long and is not for the beginner hiker. The total change in elevation being 3689 feet this hike gets quite intense with the steep climb.
