Best Breakfast Spots in Asheville

People walking outside

With our fully-appointed cabins, you will have everything you’d need besides food (you need to bring the bacon) to cook in the kitchen of your cabin. However, if you prefer to let someone else do the cooking, there are a couple of local restaurants that we recommend for the most important meal of the day. Here is the best breakfast in Asheville.

Biscuit Head:

These biscuits have grown a cult following. There’s a good reason: they are massive, and come with a jam bar and different types of gravy that will allow many delicious options to make the perfect Southern breakfast. They have a “Bacon of the Day”, and a Mimosa Fried Chicken Biscuit that we can’t recommend enough.

Tupelo Honey Café:

Tupelo Honey is one of the first restaurants in Asheville to get recognition from foodies across the country. This “new” take on Southern staples include their famous sweet potato waffles, goat cheese grits and a brunch bar with handmade Bloody Marys.

Sunny Point:

This is a West Asheville landmark, and probably the breakfast we get asked about the most. Its reputation precedes it with good reason. With local and visitor word-of-mouth, this casual and funky spot is the epitome of Asheville cool. There are some outstanding menu options for everyone in your group, but can we just recommend the Shrimp and Grits and Pecan Fried Green Tomatoes? Trust us.

Corner Kitchen:

Located in the historic Biltmore Village, this is the closest spot to our cabins at only 7 minutes away. This location comes with a legacy, as it is located in a 100+ year old house. This is a house that the Biltmore workers lived in when building the estate. Still, this is a casual restaurant. Stop by for delicious breakfast options that are great when filling up on the way to enjoy a full day at the Estate.

Mayfel’s:

Craving a New Orleans breakfast? Grab a beignet and coffee at Mayfel’s, located in downtown Asheville. If you don’t want to gorge on beignets alone (oh well…) they have a variety of egg benedicts to counteract the sweetness.
