Visiting the Biltmore Estate
Mother’s Day weekend will take place during an exciting time at Biltmore. Not only will the Vanderbilt House Party costume exhibit still be underway (Feb 8 – May 27), but the gardens will be flourishing with tulips and azaleas for the Biltmore Festival of Flowers (Apr 1 – May 23). Biltmore is a remnant of the Gilded Age. The elegant design and lush history of the estate brings folks from all over the world to Biltmore. French Broad Chocolate Factory is an unforgettable stop on any Asheville itinerary, and can make an afternoon so sweet. The lounge is located in downtown Asheville. Try the Liquid Truffle, a luscious experience that won’t be forgotten soon.
Indulge in a customized spa experience
Chocolate is a good start, but to truly pamper, you might have to break out the serious stuff. SpaTheology is a spa downtown that offers everything from stone massages to indulgent body wraps. Visit the Biltmore Village Shops
With the Biltmore Village shops, you are not only shopping in a historic area of Asheville, but also a very conveniently-located area. It’s only 3 miles from our property. These shops vary greatly, with more upscale chains like J. Crew and William Sonoma surrounded by original local hits like Porter & Prince and Mtn Merch.
Dupont State Forest
Dupont waterfalls are mesmerizing, no matter the season. The gorgeous Triple Falls really ensures you get your money’s worth (to coin a phrase, it is free) with three waterfalls located within a half-mile hike of each other.
