There’s more to Asheville beverages than just beer – although beer definitely has it’s place in the culture of Asheville. But for people who don’t necessarily enjoy beer, or are abstaining here are a few suggestions for best places to quench your thirst in Asheville.

Asheville loves the tea community just as much as beer. There are two locations of Dobra Tea, a laid-back casual tea room that is perfect for a relaxing drink away from the bar scene. Whether you are on a date, or just winding down after a long day with a good book, this intimate cafe will be a great choice.

The Block off Biltmore

The Block off Biltmore is a unique stop on any tour of downtown. This is a bar/restaurant/community center, with a focus on bringing the Asheville community together through music, dance lessons, and delicious food/drink. The bar not only offers up creative cocktails and local beers, but also some booze-less options for those who aren’t partaking. This makes The Block a great option for your entire group!

Cider is a perfect hard drink for those who aren’t interested (or are tired) of beer or wine.

For the cider lovers, rejoice! It’s not all beer in the AVL, as Urban Orchard is providing some of the most delicious ciders you’ll find anywhere. Carefully selected ingredients and a unique flavors make this a perfect option. Conveniently located in the famous South Slope downtown.

Summit Coffee Company

This is the coffee shop to visit while visiting Asheville. It has a lot in it’s favor versus the competition: great location in West Asheville next to the very popular 12 Bones Smokehouse. For example, one-of-a-kind beans from all over the world, talented coffeemakers and a focus on Fair Trade, organic partnerships with growers.

Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds offers one, two and three bedroom cabins. Close to downtown and the River Arts District, and only 3 miles to Biltmore, experience a mountain getaway that’s not too far away from everything worth doing in our big little city. Each cabin has a back deck that is perfect to quench your thirst with an Asheville beverage.
