This Grand Opening has been a long time coming! With three solid years of renovation construction efforts finally coming to a head, this is the NEW Asheville Art Museum. This renovation allows for 70% more display space, so more traveling exhibitions can be shown at one time. On the terrace, there is a cafe that is perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset on Thursdays when the museum is open until 9 pm.
The museum offers a new exhibit to welcome this renovation called Appalachia Now!
Hours for the museum will be 11 – 6pm every day except the aforementioned late Thursday night and Tuesdays when they are closed. The museum will have a general admission of $15, $13 for Seniors 65+, and will offer a free tickets for members of the military and immediate family between Armed Services Day and Labor Day (with a valid ID).
