Two individuals enjoying beers

There’s no doubt Asheville features a craft beer scene that is one of the largest in the country. With nearly 30 craft breweries, there’s plenty to choose from including the iconic Green Man Brewery and one of the largest in town, the Asheville Brewing Company. See why grabbing a beer is one of our favorite things to do with these Asheville Breweries.

Green Man Brewery

An icon of the Asheville brewery scene, Green Man Brewery has created a reputation for itself by combining innovative and classic brews in its local tasting room. Enjoy both indoor and outdoor seating at their three-story, 20,000 square foot facility with a top floor taproom overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Twin Leaf Brewery

Not too far from Green Man Brewery is the small independent craft brewery Twin Leaf Brewery. They not only offer a nice rotation of IPAs, lagers, and pilsners, you can enjoy your brews amongst their greenhouse-like tasting room.

Catawba Brewing Co.

One of the most popular breweries in Asheville, Catawba Brewing Co. won’t disappoint. At this South Slope location, enjoy their chic warehouse with hanging chandeliers at their South Slope location. Enjoy a variety of beers including white ales, stouts, IPAs, porters, browns, ambers, sours, and saisons. They also have a taproom at the historic Biltmore Estate.

Asheville Brewing Company

Definintely one of the more well-known Asheville breweries is the Asheville Brewing Company. With three locations in town, Asheville Brewing Company makes a name for itself with tasty brews and delicious pub food. Plus, they offer some of the best patios in town.

All Sevens Brewing

As part of the Westville Pub, All Sevens Brewing brews with a philosophy of keeping it simple and consistent. They serve their ales straight from the brite tanks, providing the freshest beer in town.

Funkatorium

If you love sour beers, you’ll want to head to the Funkatorium, which is owned by another Asheville brewery, Wicked Weed. The Funkatorium features an outdoor Biergarten to enjoy Rosé and sours on tap. Enjoy unique flavors like grapefruit, cherries, and elderflower.

Ginger’s Revenge

One of only a handful of breweries in the country that specialize in alcoholic ginger beer, Ginger’s Revenge serves up a beer that uses organic ingredients and is gluten-free. If you enjoy more traditional beers, you’ll be happy to know you can choose from a selection of other brews from other Asheville breweries.

Archetype Brewing

Cozy up with Archetype Brewing’s unique take on Belgian-style beer. They offer two locations on Broadway and Haywood, where all their production takes place. Pair your delicious beers with a scrumptious charcuterie board at the Tap Lounge (Broadway location).

Highland Brewing Company

Highland Brewing Company is Asheville’s original craft brewery, leading the way in the area’s craft brewery scene. Specializing in classic beer types, they continue to innovate with seasonal brews and collaborate with other well-known breweries in the area.

Hi-Wire Brewery

Hi-Wire Brewery offers two taprooms in Asheville, just a few minutes from the famous Biltmore Estate, where they serve up approachable and balanced beers with classic lagers and ales. But perhaps what is the most fun to try is their assortment of fruitful sours and rotational seasonals.
