Cabin Rentals in Asheville

WINTER – The weather during the winter tends to be mild, with daytime temperatures in the 50’s and nighttime temperatures in the 30’s. Some snow can be found in the Asheville area, with heavier snow at higher elevation. And for those chilly nights, enjoy a warming fire with our wood-burning fireplaces and each cabin is stocked with plenty of wood and starter logs to build your fire.

With the growth of all our trees and shrubs, our wooded landscape is just as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. The formal garden and lighted fountains also give a magical quality to the winter season. Fishing in our stocked trout pond is also available during the winter.

SPRING – For many guests, spring is the most beautiful time of the year at Willow Winds. In early March, the first signs of spring can be seen with our hundreds of thousands of daffodils blooming. Our forsythias burst into full bloom with our rhododendrons beginning to bloom in April, are joined by our later blooming daffodils. The landscape is an ever-changing tapestry of bright colors throughout the spring, And, with the cooler temperatures at night and warm during the day, spring is an ideal time for hiking, biking, and sightseeing.

SUMMER – Summer is an ideal time to visit our Asheville cabin resort. Our landscape becomes a luscious green scene, with blooming daylilies and beds of inpatients and begonias adding color to the landscape. The daytime temperatures in the mountains tend to be 10 degrees cooler than those of urban areas at lower elevation, making for a great escape when temperatures get a little too hot. The evening temperatures are especially enjoyable for relaxing on our large decks and porches. Summer is also a great time to enjoy our on-site activities, such as the water balloon station (great for water war), bocce ball, horse shoes, playground, and fishing in our trout pond.

FALL – The climate is perfect, and the scenery is quite spectacular during our fall season. Because we have a large variety of plants and shrub, our fall leaf season is longer than most other places. Our fall season begins with the bright red color of our firepower Nandinas, then joined by our burning bushes and ends with the turning of the leaves on our Bradford pear trees. There is always something beautiful to see during the fall at Willow Winds. For those who want to book an Asheville area cabin rental during leaf season, we advise early booking since this is one of our most popular times of the year.

A wonderful, peaceful, relaxing, quiet, renewing respite for 2 local parent caretakers. Andrew’s Attic and Willow Winds were perfect for our “staycation”. Your attention to detail on the grounds and in the cabins contributed to the pleasant two days we spent here. Thank you. We will be back!
