There are couple of options that are great for horseback riding in/near the Asheville Area:
Sandy Bottoms:This riding company boasts not only beautiful trails, but a gem mine as well – and you keep all the garnets you find. There’s something for the whole family! Offers 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour and 4 hour rides, but keep in mind that in winter months they do not ride if it is under 32 degrees Fahrenheit. A 45-minute drive from our cabins.
Saddle-Up Trail Rides: Saddle-Up is close to Asheville, and has exclusive access to Pisgah Forest (which is gorgeous!). They offer 1 hour rides, 2 hour rides, 3 1/2 hour rides, and full day rides can also be arranged. Only a 35 minute drive from our cabins!
Biltmore Estate Stables: Take a step back in time at Biltmore stables. Knowledgeable staff and gorgeous horses, if there is luxury horseback riding, this is it! These rides are great for beginners or intermediate riders, and riders can be as young as 8 years old. These are the closest to our cabins, as the estate is just a 7-10 minute drive from Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds.
Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds offers one, two and three bedroom cabins located in the heart of Asheville, NC. Only 7 minutes to Biltmore, and 15 minutes to downtown. Explore the beauty of the Western North Carolina mountains from the back deck of your cabins, relax in the hot tub and dry off in front of the wood-burning fireplace.
