Pisagh National Park Swimming
Looking Glass falls
The 30ft wide fall drops unbroken more than 60ft over a rock cliff, with the ability to swim in the pool below. Located 4 miles north of the visitor center alongside US276.
The falls drops 45ft into a large pool which you can either jump off of or just swim in the pool below. With only a 20 minute round trip hike it is accessible for most anyone to get to. From the intersections of NC215 and FS140 drive 3 miles to trailhead, pull out just beyond creek crossing.
Looking glass creek flows over a 60ft smooth rock face into an 8ft deep pool. Visitors can slide down the rock for a two dollar fee. There are restrooms and changing rooms available on site as well.
Not only a great place for a picnic with the family, Coontree also has river access where you can fish or swim. There is a 15ft rock you can jump off of as well into the river. Do not worry it is deep enough.
Skinny Dip Falls
This moderate, short hike takes you to an appealing waterfall and swimming hole on the Yellowstone Prong of the Big East Fork of the Pigeon River. It makes a great summer swimming destination. If you’re feeling hoppy, this would make the start of a more strenuous trek into Graveyard Fields.
