Historic Hendersonville, Hickory Nut Gorge, beautiful Lake Lure, the Chimney Rock Park, the Flat Rock Playhouse and the Carl Sandburg Home in Flat Rock are 30-45 minutes away.
Willow Winds is a perfect location from which to explore the many quaint and lovely towns of Western North Carolina. You will enjoy the shops of Weaverville and the music festival of Brevard.
Only 35 miles away is Mount Mitchell, the highest mountain east of the Mississippi. Nearby is the Pisgah National Forest with such attractions as Looking Glass Falls, Pisgah Fish Hatchery, Sliding Rock, and the Cradle of Forestry.
