Asheville is honored to host some of the biggest talents in new cuisine, with chefs that bring a unique flavor to our Appalachian cuisine. A neat thing about Asheville is that there isn’t one “hub” of eateries; they are distributed evenly throughout the area, so each restaurant has it’s own unique style and environment.
There are some exciting restaurants that shake up the Asheville food scene. However, these are not all (we are lucky!) and these are just a few of many!

Curate: this Spanish Tapas restaurant has more than just local cred on it’s side. The head chef is James Beard Award winning restaurateur Katie Button.
Benne on Eagle: A new place that has garnered quite the buzz lately, don’t miss out on trying this innovative eatery that turns traditional Appalachian cuisine on it’s head.
The Market Place: this spot is a great place to try a sophisticated take on farm-to-table cuisine. Healthy doesn’t have to mean bland!
Chestnut – This warm and inviting restaurant offers classic American cuisine that goes far beyond comfort food.
Buxton Hall BBQ – This restaurant is a rarity in Asheville…no definitely not BBQ, but rather a large eatery downtown! You won’t be cramped for space in this airy venue in the brewery-centric South Slope. Eastern style whole-hog barbeque and homemade pies. Need we say more?
Limones: This is a modern take on Mexican cuisine in a neat location downtown. With killer brunches and cocktail menu that rivals any in Asheville, check out this sweet spot.
The Lobster Trap: Seafood in the mountains? I know, but trust us, you can’t get much fresher than if you were eating on the beach! With oysters, crab, and plenty of other seafood flown in daily, you never know what will be available, but you can guarantee it will be as fresh.
Wild Ginger: If you aren’t careful, this unassuming little Vietnamese restaurant can fly under your radar. It will be a loss though, because the pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) is out of this world. Makes for a warm, comforting meal to enjoy after a night of enjoying our local breweries! Conveniently located in South Asheville, under 4 miles from our property.
