It’s like a history lesson, but waaayyy more fun than you remember. You’ll see the buildings that put Asheville on the map, and photos of this city’s humble beginnings. All while indulging in a handcrafted beverage made with love. We were honored to take part in a three bar tour with Asheville Rooftop Bar Tours. The owner (and our tour guide) Kaye was not only fun and friendly, but incredibly knowledgeable about Asheville history and our city’s beginnings. The tour was a little over 3 hours long, but was a well-organized operation. We were seated immediately at each stop, and service in each bar (we visited Capella on 9, The Pillar, and Hemingway’s Cuba) was exceptional considering it was a busy Saturday! Our driver Ben made sure we got where we were going safely. Note for the non-drinkers out there: each bar had “mocktail” options that would tempt even the drinkers in the group.

You can choose between a three or four bar tour, and tours can be customized in advance. Also, you don’t have to worry about driving from bar to bar since transportation is taken care of!
