Warm Up with These Breweries in Asheville

Warm up this season and discover your favorite new brew from one of these breweries in Asheville!

Green Man Brewery

An icon of the Asheville brewery scene, Green Man Brewery has created a reputation for itself by combining innovative and classic creations in its local tasting room. Enjoy both indoor and outdoor seating at their three-story, 20,000 square foot facility with a top floor taproom overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Taste of the season: Try their famous breakfast stout, the Green Man and the Chocolate Factory. Made with cocoa from French Board, their own estate blend coffee, Madagascar vanilla bean, and cascara (new this year).

Asheville Brewing Company

With three locations in town, Asheville Brewing Company makes a name for itself with tasty brews and delicious pub food. Currently, all locations are open for patio dining and contactless pick-ups.

Taste of the season: Try their Fire Escape Pale Ale. Made with roasted jalapeno peppers added to their original Escape Artist Pale Ale to produce a brew that carries a hint of spice. It is available on draft at all locations.

Ginger’s Revenge

One of only a handful of breweries in the country that specialize in alcoholic ginger beer, Ginger’s Revenge serves up a beer that uses organic ingredients and is gluten-free. If you enjoy more traditional beers, you’ll be happy to know you can choose from a selection of other brews from other Asheville breweries.

Taste of the season: Get into the spirit of the season with their Mulled Cider. Enjoy warm apple cider mixed with their original ginger beer, finished off with a dash of cinnamon. Available in their tasting room or try it at home!

Archetype Brewing

Cozy up with Archetype Brewing’s unique take on Belgian-style beer. They offer two locations on Broadway and Haywood, where all their production takes place. Pair your delicious beers with a scrumptious charcuterie board at the Tap Lounge (Broadway location).

Taste of the season: Recently released, the Gypsy Queen, a 4.2% velvety smooth chocolate milk stout with notes of pumpernickel bread and s’mores. Can you think of anything better to warm your soul?

Highland Brewing Company

As Asheville’s original craft brewery, the Highland Brewing Company is a pioneer in the craft brewery scene. Specializing in classic beer types, they continue to innovate with seasonal brews and collaborating with other well-known breweries in the area.

Taste of the season: Try their seasonal Thunderstruck Coffee Porter. Enjoy the coffee aroma and flavor with a subtle hint of spices and fruit notes.

Hi-Wire Brewery

Hi-Wire Brewery offers two taprooms in Asheville, just a few minutes from the famous Biltmore Estate, where they serve up approachable and balanced beers with classic lagers and ales. But perhaps what is the most fun to try is their assortment of fruitful sours and rotational seasonals.

Taste of the season: Who doesn’t love roasting marshmallows on an open fire in the winter? Well, taste like you just did with their seasonal S’mores Porter. Brewed with chocolate, fresh vanilla, cinnamon, with hints of graham cracker and chocolate malts round out this unique flavor.
