Staying at Greg’s Cabin at Willow Winds proved to be a great choice. I loved having my green tea in the morning on the outdoor balcony looking out at the Tulip trees and listening to the sounds of the fountains. The location was perfect: close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Downtown Asheville, and the Airport. There is so much to do here in this beautiful and majestic landscape!

Asheville Named one of the “Coolest Places to Go in 2018” by Forbes.

In December, Asheville had the honor of being named one of Forbes “Coolest Places to Go in 2018”. A distinguished honor! Asheville was the only US city on the list.

Below is what Forbes contributor Ann Abel had to say:

“It’s no secret that America’s southern cities are having a moment,”…..“Asheville has a character that is at once hipster and classic Americana.” Our city is home to gorgeous scenery, historic mansions (the 19th-century Biltmore Estate is the largest private home in the world) and a remarkable arts scene. “Don’t miss Woolworth Walk to shop the works of dozens of local artisans and stop for a milkshake at the preserved luncheonette counter.”

So glad that Asheville’s unique atmosphere and one-of-a-kind hospitality is being recognized!

We spent our honeymoon here; this place has made for the best honeymoon ever!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The grounds here are gorgeous! Biltmore is a must to see, Chocolate Fetish truffles were amazing…worth the money. Also Luella’s BBQ was amazing ~ get the sweet potato appetizer…yummy!

We will be back!
