We came here to celebrate our second wedding anniversary and we loved Andrew’s Attic the second we opened the door. The fireplace, bed & hot tub along with the romantic package warmed my heart. My husband and I plan on returning during the warmer months of 2015. Looking forward to returning and thanks for everything.

WNC Magazine spotlights the South’s cycling destination.

WNC Magazine’s most recent issue highlights the cycling scene around Asheville, with a focus on the prime biking trails and convenient location of Brevard, NC (just a  27-mile drive from our cabins). The article contains interviews with several professional cyclists in Brevard concerning why they chose Brevard, and why this has become the southern mecca of cycling.

Brevard has several things working in it’s favor, with mild temperatures and trails for all types of cyclists. Is mountain biking more your style? Dupont State forest is easily accessible and offers some of the best trails in the state. Is road cycling more your style? The Blue Ridge Parkway allows for a ride with phenomenal views. With all of this, Brevard’s reputation of being a cyclist’s (amateur and professional) dream has spread.

With the Blue Ridge Parkway less than two miles away from our cabins, we have been honored to have many traveling cyclists stay with us. Every one has their favorite trails, favorite difficulty level and terrain, and favorite place in Asheville and Brevard to relax afterwards! What better way to explore WNC than to bike it’s beautiful forests by day, stop by your luxury cabin to freshen up, then head downtown to experience the one-of-a-kind Asheville restaurant and brewery scene?

We came here for a short getaway from our home & faily in Michigan and we’ve had a wonderful time. The Willow Winds property proved to be all that it had promised and then some. We hope to return with our kids sometime. Asheville was a lot of fun too — very different from what we’re used to. Our favorite eatery was Jack of the Wood’s, We tried the Scotch eggs, some local brew’s and the Sheppard’s pie…all accompanied by some very talented bluegrass musicians.

Thanks Willow Winds for a great place to stay
