This is our 2nd visit to Andrew’s Attic and we find that we love it more each time we visit! It is a perfect get away – so romantic and peaceful! We’re counting the days until we can return!

Our own “Triple Falls” at Asheville Cabins

At Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds, we aim to make improvements in our woodland gardens every year.

In this past year we completed our Triple Falls Trail. While we admit that it can’t compare with the huge triple falls in the DuPont State Forest (the inspiration for our falls, and a 40-minute drive that is absolutely worth it), it offers the beauty and soothing ambience of flowing water — just steps from your luxury cabin.

Our “triple falls” begins on the upper side with our large man-made triple falls that flows out of underground springs. Our natural mountain stream flows over several smaller falls and finally into our large trout pond on the lower side of our property. From the trout pond the stream flows over yet another falls into Sweeten Creek.

The favorite trail of our guests is the Mountains to the Sea Trail. This trail is only a hundred feet from the upper end of our property, and spans over 1,000 miles from the Tennessee border to the Outer Banks of NC. There are many spots on the property to stop and enjoy the scenery with a nice picnic or lounge in a nearby hammock. Springtime is meant to be spent outdoors, so come experience the beauty of WNC with one of our cabin getaways!

I’m sitting on my favorite rocking chair on the large covered porch ~ looking down the grass hill, past the herb garden to the lovely fish and fountain pond, surrounded by thick trees of every description including two of my favorite ~ Weeping Willows.

The grill is heating; waiting for the lamb chops I bought at the Farmers Market this morning.

I enter the living room with the high ceiling, stone fireplace, leather couches and rocking chairs; which many years ago was a one room cabin.

Sunlight filters through one of the long glass sliding doors which through the other I see my hammock waiting for me.

I’m home again; “Pat’s Place” is mine.
