Hiking trails at the NC Arboretum
While the NC Arboretum isn’t in full bloom during the winter months, it does offer a certain peacefulness in the winter with fewer crowds and the stillness that can often come with winter. There are over 10 miles of hiking trails inside the garden. Hikers of all skill levels are welcomed with their easy, moderate, and difficult hikes. Certain trails even connect to other area attractions such as the Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Visit a brewery
After your hike, warm up with a beer at one of the many breweries in town. One of the many things Asheville is known for is its collection of craft breweries. Asheville is home to over 30 breweries, each with its own unique character, style, and beer.
