We know that planning for a trip can be stressful. You have to arrange accommodations, flights/road trips, decide what you need to bring and what must stay (hey, your luggage space is limited!), not to mention you have to plan activities to enjoy once you’re there. At Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds, we try to make the process as easy as possible. Our goal is that you will only have to bring your personal belongings and food, and that the rest will be waiting for you when you get here. It’s the little things that can make planning and executing a trip a little less of a hassle. Here are the ten things you DON’T have to bring to Asheville Cabins (and one thing you do!)
1.) Paper products: We provide paper products for the cabins, so you will have several rolls of toilet tissue and paper towels, as well as facial tissues and coffee filters for the coffee maker.
2.) Anything for the kitchen (except for food): Our full-size kitchens are fully-stocked with equipment and tools. Making dinner? You’ll have all the essentials (stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes and silverware, cooking sheets, pots and pans, etc) plus a slow cooker, drip-style coffee maker, mixer and blender for your convenience. As for the food? We do offer a grocery service, where we purchase groceries and have them waiting in the cabin for you. 3.) Grilling Essentials: Every cabin has an electric grill on the back deck, as well as the grilling utensils. The deck seating allows for you to create the perfect al fresco dinner experience!
4.) Laundry: Each cabin has a washer and dryer, as well detergent boxes and fabric softener sheets.
5.) Iron/board: In the same vein, you do not have to bring a clothes iron and ironing board, as they are provided in your cabin. Just like the washer and dryer, you may never need it….but it’s nice to have when you do!
6.) Linens and towels: At Willow Winds, we know that the last thing you want to do after your plane lands or you cross the city limits, is to have to run to the store to purchase a cheap pair of sheets. A lot of cabins require that you provide the sheets for the beds, but not at Asheville Cabins. Here you will have quality sheets and towels, as well as backups tucked away under the sink and in the closets! And since you have a washer and dryer, you’ll be able to wash anything that you need to reuse. We even have robes in the closet for you to use during your stay.
7.)Toiletry essentials: In the bathrooms, you will find a mini bottle of conditioning shampoo, as well as a bar of soap and mini bottle of lotion.
8.)Pack n Play and high chairs: We haven’t forgotten about your little ones either! Just let us know if you’ll need a pack n play or restaurant-style high chair (either over the phone or by adding on upon online reservation) and we will have them waiting in the cabin for you. The pack n play will have sheets and a blanket, as well. No cost to you!
9.)Hair dryer: Who wants to bring a hair dryer when they are traveling?
10.)Firewood (seasonal): We have fireplaces open in the colder months – usually open from mid/late October to early/mid May – and these cozy fireplaces are wood-burning! But don’t think that means you’ll have to track down wood like at most cabin rentals. At Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds, we keep a pile of firewood stacked up at your front door.
Our wish is this: that upon walking through the front door of your cabin, you feel at home. We want you to have everything that you need, so that if you don’t want to venture out, you don’t have to. If you must, we are only 2 miles from Ingles Grocery and 3 miles from the restaurants of Biltmore Village.
So those are the ten things you DON’T have to bring to Asheville Cabins….
Oh! And the thing you must bring! You must bring your sense of adventure, because Willow Winds is a place that offers plenty of activities and fun for families. Our mountain city has so much to explore, whether zip-lining through the fall foliage or tucking away in one of our world-renowned breweries on a chilly day.
